What is Tae Kwon Do and how is it different from other martial arts?
Tae Kwon Do originated in Korea, whereas Karate originated in Japan. Tae Kwon Do is also known as “Super Karate” which emphasizes a variety of kicks to confuse the opponent and dominate the situation. It is also the only Martial Arts recognized by the Olympics.
What are the tuition and fees?
Tuition is $110/month.
Uniform: $40
Sparring Gear: $113 - $125
There may be additional fees for testing, evaluations, and tournaments.
What age can my child join the classes?
We accept students as young as 4 years old, depending on cognitive and physical ability.
Can I take classes with my child?
Absolutely! In fact, it is highly encouraged.
What are the belt ranks?
At Infusion martial Arts, our system is white, yellow, green, blue, red, and black.
What is belt testing?
Belt testing is when a student has reached a point in their training that requires acknowledgment of their hard work in their current belt level. The student will demonstrate skills learned before a panel of judges that will determine whether student is to be advanced to the next level.
Can a student fail?
One of the Tenets of Tae Kwon Do is perseverance ... steady persistence in a course of action especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement. As long as a student continues to persevere, the student will not fail. While it is not common, a student may not have mastered all the requirements to move to the next belt level. However, our instructors will continue to work with the student to master the skills and persevere.
Are students required to attend tournaments?
It is not required for students to attend all tournaments. However, Infusion Martial Arts sponsors one tournament per year. All students are required to participate in this annual tournament.
How long does it take to reach black belt?
Most students can reach Black Belt level in 4 years.
What happens after reaching black belt?
After reaching the Black Belt level, a new journey begins. There is a requirement for leadership hours to be completed before advancing to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level. Also, use of bladed weapons is taught along with a very high level of self-defense. Black Belt Kata is taught and the student is requires to demonstrate his/her skills in public.
Does martial arts increase aggressiveness in children?
It would be misleading to say that martial arts absolutely could not bring out aggressiveness in a student. However, we teach that martial arts is not about violence and aggression, but instead about being humble and well mannered, along with maintaining self control. Students are taught to only use what they've learned in training for self defense.

- Other discounts may be available through Orange County DSS. School Social Worker should fill out the DSS Registration form. Tax ID can be made available upon request.
